Instead of birthday presents, 10-year-old Lauren Klaff asked guests at her recent birthday party to make a donation to the library. Lauren collected $250, which she gave to the library for it's 21st Century Fund, a nonprofit corporation that has been set up to receive donations for the building of a new library, and for the purchase of some new books for the children's room: Nancy Drew books, Little Genie, and some sewing books.

Lauren Klaff Donates Books and Funds to Library
Instead of birthday presents, 10-year-old Lauren Klaff asked guests at her recent birthday party to make a donation to the library.
