The Real Monsters by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen

But do real monsters walk the earth—or are they just figments of our imagination? Unwrap the mystery and discover the truth! Over time, scientific inquiry has shed light on these terrifying creatures of the darkness; the reality behind the legends will fascinate children as much as any horror movie or tale told round a campfire. The Fairy’s Mistake by Gail Carson Levinefairy

The story is about how a girl named Rosella gives a drink of water to a fairy disguised as an old lady. The fairy, Ethelinda rewards her by when ever Rosella talks a jewel comes out of her mouth. Her sister, Myrtle met her too but she was very rude to her, so Ethelinda makes bugs come out of her mouth. A prince comes and asks Rosella to marry her and they live happily ever after!
