Go Green! Earth Day Event at Islington Library


Join us at the Islington Branch Library on Wed. April 15 from 7pm – 7:45pm to discuss The Green Book by Jill Paton Walsh and create a craft from recycled materials. Written in 1982, the theme of the book remains current. The story follows a group of people who must leave the dying planet, Earth, to begin a new existence on the planet Shine. New series: Beast Quest by Adam Blade


The first book in the series is Ferno the Fire Dragon. It's a story about a kingdom plagued by mysterious troubles: the rivers are drying up, villages and crops are being destroyed. It is up to a young boy named Tom to defeat the evil power. This is a good series for second and third graders who like lots of adventure, dragon slaying, monster killing...
